Merry Christmas to All!

Merry Christmas! I know it’s the 26th, but who has time to write a blog post on Christmas? This may turn into a photo dump, but I wanted to catch up and let everyone know what we’ve been up to!

On the 21st, Ed took a half day and the Wileys, Davises, and Mearns took off toward Carolina Beach. It was a brief trip, where I blew my diet but managed to get in a walk on the boardwalk and some weight training at the hotel. The boys swam and Jack jumped in the pool without a partner and sunk like a stone. Ed had to jump in and grab him and he didn’t even cry about it. He’s a champ.

We ate Mexican food, saw the Christmas decorations, and scalded ourselves in the indoor hot tub.

We returned home to SIX dogs, who had been lovingly taken care of by my brother-in-law, David. For those that don’t know, we pet sit and would love to build a lux kennel on our property. Check out our site: https://baileyspets.com/pet-sitting/

Christmas Eve saw an Orangetheory class, last minute stocking-stuffer shopping and making Mississippi roast for my parents. It also saw Ed doing every bit of his Christmas shopping because he’s not a procrastinator at all.

Grandma and Grandpa Wiley came over for Christmas Eve dinner and we exchanged gifts. The boys loved their Paw Patrol vehicles and Lookout Tower.

We went to Christmas Eve service and took our annual chaotic Christmas photo in front of the tree. Jack and I had to leave the service because exorcist-baby wouldn’t stop making his new low growl/screech sound.

Christmas day blessed us with gifts from Santa. The boys loved all their gifts. Oliver only had four meltdowns before lunch. We then had lunch with the entire Mearns/Bronson clan.

Christmas was fun, chaotic and exhausting–just as it should be.
