via Daily Prompt: Noise

There is so much noise in my life. Dogs barking, birds chattering, kids talking, crying, laughing, screaming, television, videos online, telephone, bleeps and bonks and buzzes and all those onomatopoeia words you find in Batman comics. Zoink! I sit and write and the baby fusses and Dave and Ava sing about colors on Youtube.
One day the noise will be gone. The boys will be out of the house, the dog will be old, the television will be off, the telephone won’t ring. The silence will be golden. And so boring.
I vow to try to appreciate my noisy house full of boys and dogs and cats and birds. Except the birds. They’ve got to go.
